Oi, it's been a year hasn't it? I'm an awful, awful author and I've been shocked and amazed the few people on my flist hadn't jumped ship long ago.

Not more than two minutes ago I finished chapter four and am anxiously awaiting editing on said piece from my proofers. It's been in the works for awhile and I'm (perhaps prematurely) satisfied and happy with how it turned out. Dunno if it was worth 12+ months of waiting but still, I don't hate it so that's something, hm?

If all goes well, it'll be posted within the next twelve hours both on here, ff.net and various comms.

I realize that I've been MIA (if any of your even remember who I am) and you can blame the Drama Llama for taking up so much precious time. I've actually been working on "Becoming" and hope to have the next two chapters done relatively quickly.

With that said, I bring non-fandom offerings that I've dabbled in and on for the previous months. TBH, I don't expect anyone to read them (I know how quickly I've passed over original works when a fanfic author I liked posted them) but I want to put all my writing in one place rather than spread out over my personal lj, my blog, private entries, etc. I will place them under a cut, however, to save your fpage.

Not that many people are holding their breath, but I am feeling a mite bad about being so lax in writing, well... anything. I have a list of excuses as long as my arm (good ones too!) but it all boils down to one crazy-ass hectic schedule being sprung on me. I'm not the type of person who is used to having the kind of "schedule" where one needs to actually write things down in order to make sure one arrives on time (or at all). But alas, that is my life at the moment.

Chapter 3 made me bitter at its difficulty so I took a self-imposed break and that turned into... something more. And that's my fault. But I started reading again ("Look at the words that people are stringing together! And so well!") and after finally starting Twilight, it's gotten me in the mood for some punch-in-the-gut angst.

Oh, angst, my abusive lover, how I've missed you so.

All that aside, I am sorry for the few who are keeping up and have been kind enough to read and review, both here and on FF.net. I hope you don't forget about me - but if you do, I hope that it's because you've found better fanfiction and if that is the case PLEASE SHARE! I could use some good Snevans/Snily reccs!

Chapter four has some of the material I’ve really been looking forward to writing, so I’m hoping that one will be quicker in coming.... Maybe I shouldn’t even say that lest I jinx myself. Ah, well, too late now... :)

Gah!

Back after I chewed, swallowed and digested Deathly Hallows in 24 hours and was left with that hollow, aching realization that there was no more, I had to find something to fill that empty void. Luckily for me, the HP fandom is vast, talented and quick and within a week fanart was plentiful. Even better was that much of it was Lily/Snape. *heart eyes*

And since Chapter Three is taking me so damn long, I feel the need to share some of these because they deserve recognition, high-fives and booze. Wow, that was a lot. And I could have done more! I went on a rampage at DeviantArt the weeks following the release of Book 7 and the last 6 or so of my favorites pages are, like, 90% Deathly Hallows fanart. But I've never claimed to be anything other than a gigantic nerd. :D

I swear, on my Jimmy Choo's, that I am working on Chapter Three. Slowly but surely it's coming along. I'm trying to fit it into canon and a couple parts are giving me trouble. Once I get past those parts I'm imagining the sailing will be smoother and I've got big plans and fun stuff in store for Chapter Four, so I am properly motivated.
